In the summer of 2009, we found ourselves continually sharing similar stories of frustration with our careers and with the opposite sex. Knowing ourselves to be well-trained, smart actresses, it was disheartening to be unable to get seen by the right people for casting. Sharing a bottle of wine one night, we laughed and rolled our eyes at the ridiculousness of auditions and dating in New York. Finding that we had similar backgrounds and a unique story to tell, we decided to collaborate and cast ourselves in our own film. It is a story that is close to our hearts and comes from personal struggles, experiences and observations.
